Over the next few weeks, our games programme kicks into overdrive. We have got a full MNF games programme until the end of April and we also play the first of our Academy fixtures against Man City.

Monday 18th March – UFCA U7s, U8s & U9s V CFD U7s, U8s & U9s This is a great chance for our younger players to get some match time under the black & yellow of UFCA. We welcome our neighbours from York, once again it promises to be an excellent encounter against a company that share a similar ethos as ourselves.

Sunday 24th March – UFCA U9s V Man City Elite U8s (Platt lane Training Complex, Manchester) A very good test for our very talented group of U9 players to compete with the very best U8 players from across the north of England. Our director Steve Hart spent 12-24 months coaching a number of the players we will be coming up against and he can testify just how talented this group of players are but we know our U9s are more than capable of giving the blue side of Manchester a very good challenge. After the game is over we will be treat to a tour around the training ground. It will be a tremendous experience for all the players involved.

Monday 25th March – UFCA U11s & U12s (in house friendly) this game is invaluable for preparation as both age groups have got big games coming up and it will be a last opportunity for us to get together prior to the games. (5pm – 6pm)

Monday 25th March – UFCA U10s V Tadcaster Magnets U10s We look forward to the visit of Taddy Magnets as quite a few of our U10s play for them. It will be a strange experience at first but once the boys start playing it will be a normal game of Junior football. We look forward to welcoming Dave Wilson and his High Flying magnets to Lawnswood for what will be a very good test for all of our players.

Thursday 28th March – UFCA U11s V Man City Select Squad U11s (Manchester) We are taking a squad of very talented players over the Pennines to take on a Man City select squad that will be full of talented players. The build up for this game has been up & down. Some outstanding performances of football mixed with a disappointing game against CFD (all part of the learning process), since that game the boys have really stepped up their game and we are very confident we can go and put on a performance to be proud of.

Monday 1st April – UFCA U12s V Tottenham Hotspur Select Squad (St Thomas Moore School). This is a unique set up for a school team, they actually miss a lesson of school work and train every day (if only every school did that). They are coached by Tottenham Hotspur Academy coaches and are directly linked with providing Spurs with many good players. They are on a 3 day tour of Yorkshire and we were happy to provide them with a game and hospitality.

Lets hope these games kick off an exciting summer of football for the black & yellows.
